about the filmmaker paul kermizian

In the past year, Paul Kermizian has directed music videos for The Fall, Langhorne Slim, Artanker Convoy and the kings of beer themed rap The Pain Relievaz. He also recently directed two commercials for the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery.

During the summer of 2002, Paul directed and produced the documentary American Beer, spending six weeks driving across the United States with his crew touring and filming American breweries and drinking great beer. After screening at several film festivals in 2003 and 2004, the film was released to DVD in April 2005.

Around the same time, Paul directed the short film Buck Nelson Presents: Lifting the Cloak of Mystery Off Rock Drumming, a parody of drum instructional videos written by and starring Dan Menke.

Way back in 2000 Paul's first feature film, the comedy Calling Bobcat toured film festivals and saw a DVD release, first as part of Hollywood Videos First Rites Independent Film Series and then as a York Home Video release. It has since screened on Showtime, The Movie Channel and other cable channels in the U.S. where chances are you saw all or part of it really, really late at night.

Currently, Paul edits his film projects with his dog Teddy in an apartment in Brooklyn. If for some reason you need or want information not presented on this web site, please drop an email.
